What is Downtown Phase II?

The City is excited about the upcoming Downtown Phase II Expansion project that will build on the success of First & Main’s mixed-use development and capitalize on emerging market opportunities, such as the needs for downtown office and residential space. Hudson's Downtown Phase II Plan is to revitalize the underutilized area of Hudson's downtown. It will take full advantage of First and Main's assets to capitalize on emerging market opportunities.

Stay Involved

Thank you for your participation in the public engagement activities for Downtown Phase II. Testa Companies has spent the last few months conducting stakeholder interviews, roundtable meetings, a community survey, and two open house presentations. These efforts have led to a Downtown Phase II Framework Plan.

As the framework plan evolves into a more detailed concept plan with proposed building areas and housing units, the City will initiate in-depth traffic, parking, and stormwater management studies to address the needs of the project area and the larger downtown.

If you did not get an opportunity to attend the April 13, 2017 Open House, we encourage you to view the Open House video.

Additionally, a feedback form is available to provide us any thoughts or questions you may have: Downtown Phase II Feedback Form

Project updates will be provided in the coming weeks to provide additional information based on the community feedback and as the development team works towards a formal concept plan.

Ten years ago, City officials and a group of engaged citizens had the foresight to think long term with a vision to create a revitalized downtown core which transformed an industrial property into a full-scale shopping, dining and business experience drawing visitors from across Northeast Ohio and beyond. This vision also included a concept of a future Downtown Phase II which would expand the revitalization efforts to the publicly owned property at the corner of Owen Brown and Morse Roads.
